A trip to Le Grand-Pressigny Museum introduces you to an entire era of Prehistory. The museum's exiting collections are nothing like you'd expect; they showcase, the social, technical and economic aspects of Prehistory with a focus on what has made Touraine famous in the world of archaeology: Le Grand-Pressigny flint.

Duration of the visit: approximately 1 hour 30 minutes.

Until 30 September 2026, discover our temporary exhibition "The Tropical Touraine", which is open during the museum’s opening hours. Included in the museum admission price.

The museum is open all year round, except on the 1st of January and the 25th of December.

November > March: Monday to Friday 10.00 – 12.30 / 14.00 – 17.00. Closed at weekends except during Zone B school holidays

April > June / September > October: Daily 10.00 – 13.00 / 14.00 – 18.00

July > August: Daily 10.00 – 19.00
